Joi Reid hit 1-of-2 free throws to break a 47 all tie as the Catamounts defeated Winthrop 48-47 Thursday on the Ingles Advantage Court in the Ramsey Center. WCU starts the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
