Western Carolina women's tennis continues its road swing traveling to No. 22 Wednesday for a doubleheader set to begin at noon at the Goodfriend Tennis Center. Western Carolina won its opening road match for the first time since 2015 when the Catamounts won at North Carolina A&T 7-0. Isabella Sambola, Jade Groen, and Madison Schwarz all open the season 2-0 in singles play. This will be the third and fourth meeting between Western Carolina and Tennessee. The two programs have not met since 1976 with the Lady Vols seeping the previous two matches. Tennessee is coming off a loss to No. 12 Ohio State 4-2 at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Columbus, Ohio. Western Carolina's match at Tennessee is the Lady Vols home opener.
