Western Carolina women's tennis takes a short trip to Asheville, N.C. Sunday to go up against UNC Asheville at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown. Western Carolina is coming off an 11-day break. The Catamounts last competed Feb. 1 in a doubleheader at No. 22 Tennessee falling 5-2 and 4-0. The Catamounts two singles wins, at No. 5 and No. 6 singles against Tennessee, were the most singles wins against a Power Five opponent in program history. Chloe Schwarz, Madison Schwarz, Angela Perez, Isabella Sambola and Jade Groen each have two singles wins throughout the first four matches on the season. Western Carolina and UNC Asheville meet for the 45th time on Sunday. The Bulldogs hold a 25-18 advantage in the series. UNCA won the 2022 meeting in Cullowhee defeating the Catamounts 4-3.
