I think it is great that we have raised $36.3 million of the $75 million for the campaign that includes athletics. I know we have to raise $30 million for athletics before we can float the $30 million in bonds funded by the increased student fees. Do we have to wait for the entire $75 million to be raised before we can start construction for athletic facilities? Asking for a friend.  |

I heard 7 million in cash needs to be raised first. I heard still courting potential big donors but announcement will be made by EOY at latest.

I am not sure but at least it doesn't sound like all funds must be raised before projects commence. Sounds like the campaign will be announced after courting the potential big donors.

If you listened to the meeting recording, the total to be raised by this campaign is $75 million and we have already have commitments of over $36 million dollars that has been raised. I think that Athletics is $30 million of the $75 million to be raised. Once we raise the $30 million for Athletics then the University will issue bonds for the additional $30 million paid for by the increased student fees approved a couple years back. Since the campaign is for Athletics and other needs, I am not sure how much more needs to be raised so that we can issue the bond.
