The Western Carolina men's golf team heads to 'Wild, Wonderful' West Virginia this week for the penultimate event of the 2022-23 season as the Catamounts open play in the Mountaineer Invitational, hosted by West Virginia University at the par-72, 7,308-yard Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.Va. In addition to the host Mountaineers and the Catamounts, the 13-team field includes golfers from Coastal Carolina, Drexel, James Madison, Marshall, Maryland, No. 21 Oklahoma State, St. John's, UT Martin, VCU, William & Mary, and Xavier. WCU fifth-year senior Louis Theys and graduate transfer Adam Hooker are among the top 10 after 18 holes at the WVU Mountaineer Invitational; Catamount men's golf sits in seventh as round two play is underway - unsure if they'll get all 36 holes in today at the Pete Dye Golf Club.
