I agree on losing the Nexstar group. The problem is getting with a syndicator that will get more stations to broadcast in the southeast. There are four stations in Atlanta outside of the major networks that could air SoCon (specifically WCU) games. However, I will keep my ESPN+ account. Hopefully, I can tune in for two Saturdays while in England/Ireland mid-September.

We can't just get rid of the Nexstar package....that's all we have! Ingle's pays for it. The deal is that everyone has to have a least one appearance. The conference schedule dictates a lot of their choices. It's a tough call for Nexstar and the SoCon.

Anyway, my comment was not to get rid of Nextar, but it's time to quit getting screwed by the SoCon, WCU needs a new conference home, and the CAA is looking better all the time...

But how to get past that $2 million exit fee? Actually, it's easy. Join another conference for football only, as an affiliate member, then wait for the SoCon to kick you out, SoCon did it with ETSU.

For the away games, I watch them all on ESPN+. What does it matter that Nexstar also broadcasts the games? For the past several years, I have been able to see just about all the games on ESPN+. What does the game of the week get us?

What does the game of the week get us?It gives the teams playing much more exposure on regular tv. Not everyone has ESPN+ or wants to pay for it. It's all about exposure of your product.
