I want to give a shout out to the stage and screen people for the episodes they have been doing this year, as they are so well done and help with the excitement for the team before and after a game.
If anyone has seen the depth chart for the Furman game this Saturday, could they post it so we would have some idea of how many of our players will be out against Furman. I hope we will be at full strength.
I am going to change my original prediction of the score, that I posted a few days ago of us winning 38 to 28.
My new prediction of the score will be WCU 40 Furman 37.
GO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched the coaches show tonight and you could see the disappointment and disgust still on his face when he spoke about the game. I am glad he said we just did not convert and play well enough to win. He also put some of it on the coaching. I think losses where we don't play well burn him up so I think if we make the playoffs and see FU again and are healthy i think we could see a different outcome

We DO have a talented football team and if a few plays went differently, we would have beaten Furman. Then there's the AWFUL (non) pass interference call in the 3rd quarter. I thought when a defensive player isn't looking back at the ball AND he is in your face, it's PI. Bell was going nuts and spent most of the next commercial time out in the face of the ref.

it happened right near where i sit and it was so obvious even in the stands and the ref was right there. They missed an obvious holding call too where we would have had a sack in the 3rd and got them off the field and that was not called either.

No calls were missed by mistake. The non-calls against Furman were on purpose by the refs. That missed PI was a straight up mugging. Furman will get the calls because the SoCon thinks Furman is their best chance in the playoffs. I wish it was not true, but I have over 40 years of watching this crap and I know it is rigged.

My prediction:
If none of our injured comes back this week:
Mercer 30 WCU 14
If we get all of them back, besides Desmond Reid: Derek Simmons, and possibly Jaylin Williams we get back:

I had asked a few times about Jalynn Williams and just figured if he wasn't back yet he wasn't going to play in 2023. Anybody in the know hearing that he could actually return to action? He hasn't played at all this season. He is listed as a Sr. but hard to tell if he already had a redshirt year from his time at Toledo before coming here. Pretty good runner, and excellent catching passes out of the backfield. I think Adams is a very good RB, but with Reid out I'd love to see more guys available, and if Jalynn is healthy and this is his last season it would be awesome to see him get a chance.
Coach Bell on the show made it sound like he thought Derek would be back, but was still a little vague. I agree Bob that it would be good to be as close to full-strenth as possible.
