This school would be a good SoCon addition in my opinion.

Probably, and I think they would have gotten more support than some of the others in the rumor mill during the latest rounds of realignment. But in the end, seems like the SOCON is really happy with our current makeup.
From a football perspective it would have been nice to add them, NC A&T, and Campbell. North Alabama would have been a good add and partner for Samford.

Right now, we have the perfect number to play all the teams and 3 or 4 non-conference games depending on the year. Additional teams could take the schedule out of whack if one (or several) teams has an easier in conference schedule (assuming we only play 8 conference games).

Yes, and that is the reason WCU is not playing the playoffs this year. Look at MVFC, Big Sky, and CAA - they don't all play each other every year, AND not only does it NOT hurt them as a conference, but it also actually helps increase their winning % each year...

Just to let everyone know...Gary Ayers, our WCU Hall of Fame play-by-play guy, had serious shoulder surgery yesterday and will not be behind the mic this Sunday...so I think there will be no radio broadcast. Maybe the ESPN+ play-by-play will be put on the internet.

Maybe the ESPN+ play-by-play will be put on the internet. Thanks for the update on Gary, hope he's doing well after the surgery. I don't think the game is on ESPN+, as it is not listed on either the WCU or UNA websites or on the upcoming games listed on ESPN+ site.
