College sports have been ruined and are insane. There will come a day where some schools will have student/athletes and athletes on the same team. The student athletes will go to school and the athletes will not go to school but be on the team. That way kids that can’t make the grade can be on UNCs or Alabama’s team and not have to go to school. This way, the NFL and NBA will have access to more players. It’s not about academics at all. It is about dollars. Big colleges will be semi-pro leagues or farm clubs for pro sports.

This stuff is out of control. We all know that these big time schools are recruiting all the time, even without proof.
I was with a high school coach this weekend, that his daughter plays on my daughters soccer team and he was telling me how dirty it is and the lengths these coaches go to to get to the players before the portal is even open. He said he gets calls from college coaches who are asking about players that he only knows by knowing other people….not even players he has coached.
He said one coach called and asked him to get a message to a player that he only knew through other people that wasn’t even in the portal, that they would pay 1 mil if he jumped in the portal.
They have ruined college sports and I’m not sure there is any going back from it.

Only if the US congress passes a law that says that players likeness, name or image cannot be used by anyone can this end. That way NIL goes away and then the Supreme Court ruling is moot because there is a law that the court has to abide by. That would stop it but we are talking about those clowns in Washington.
