I know I might get fussed at about posting about former players on here, but found this interesting.
I noticed on Pitt’s depth chart of spring practice that Dez Reid is number 3 out of 6 RB on their team behind 2 seniors.
Cincere and Rafael are number 2 on the depth chart for 2 of their WR spots.
I wonder if they will like not being starters.
Maybe they don’t care but I would expect that they expected to go with Kade and be the stars with starting roles.
I guess Kade can override and make them starters but that would probably look bad.
Maybe that is what Kerwin meant by, we might get them back. I am not a coach but I say once you leave, you are banned from campus.

I think he said that before they committed, and I took it to mean he was leaving the door open at that time. I doubt it's still open.
I expect Kade has to mind his politics, and give every appearance of making them earn their playing time. It'll be interesting to see how they do.

I read something that the fastest RB on Pitt is one of the other RBs. I don’t think Reid will stay if he is not the starter. How is he going to make it to the NFL if he does not play. I doubt he leap frogs 2 players to become the number 1 guy. Also, I know that Rafael was not happy at Western because he complained that they did not throw him the ball enough. He will hate it at Pitt because he is not going to get the ball enough. He said he wanted to win the trophy for the best receiver in D1 FBS football. Someone is giving these kids bad advice. I don’t care where you play, if you are not the starter, you are not going to the NFL. Maybe Alabama or Michigan has second string guys going to the NFL but not Pitt. |

you know what is crazy is that this means both Dez and CJ are both out for the year due to injuries. The only one left standing is Poppi
