The SoCon has been strong as of late and this year should be no different.
In many ways, the SoCon is one of the truest FCS conferences out there if you’re a purest of the sport. It’s one of the few leagues that has all of its teams meet each other at some juncture of the year and in turn its champion is truly decided by the results on the field and last year it was a big year for the conference that sent three representatives to the postseason.
Furman took the top spot in 2023 but it seems the Paladins may have a tough time defending their title this time out. The very team they knocked out of the playoffs last winter might be the ones to take it from them when all is said and done. As per usual, though, there will certainly be some others that shake things up.
