I hope this team can pull together and commit to play as the Catamount team before they roll into Greenville. Our boys will have their hands full with FU. Need to play our best ball for the Ws.
We should expect nothing but a sweep from our boys this weekend.

How many strikes and your out? 3 Sometimes its better to just move on no matter how good something is. Sticking with something that doesn't work is what gets coaches fired....I had a management professor that had a long career with a major company. He told the class that he never made a bad decision. The class chuckled. He said that he had made decisions that didn't get the results that he wanted but he analyzed the results and made another decision. He said that the only bad decsion that you will ever make is to stick with what you know is not working.

I'm back and I promise not to mention a player, coach or college official by name. I followed the past two games, Tuesday on non-commentated web video (why was that, I suppose if you don't have commentary you don't have to talk about the Citadel game 3 fiasco), and last night as well. It looks like "he who must not be named" didn’t' even get a slap on the wrist, he missed one mid-week game and plays the next night; that equals a "please do not do that again please" from the coach. When I played if a player acted and played that way he would have been suspended at least a month if not the rest of the season or booted, I long for the good old days where we were held accountable for our actions. "He who must not be named" must be a coach’s favorite; I wonder what this does for team cohesiveness. It's no wonder that this team got their hats handed to them by UNC-A. I made a few calls last night to check on the former WCU player on UNC-A’s team, I was wondering why he left. No luck there but it was pointed out that a kid who had been suspended from the team for over a month with no practice gets an AB his first day back. What about giving the other kids on the bench who have been to all the games and all the practices an AB first? The morale on this team must be lower than preverbal whale fecal material. With all this stuff going on I don't see how there is a connection between the coach and the team. If last night’s beat down was a subconscious reaction to lack of faith and respect for the coach it doesn't bode well for the future. I hope the coach opens his eyes to what he is doing to this talented team. Micro management (left handed pitcher throws 1 or 2 pitches to a left handed batter, next batter a righty....time to change pitchers, they must love this (there are some games where the coach has more mound time than the pitchers). Then of course if they put in a lefty it’s time to yank the left handed batters. The Citadel coach played WCU with this; 3 players burned for for one AB. How can you expect the pitchers to be able to pitch or the batters hit unless they are given ample opportunity to throw to and see pitches? The micro management, lack of disciple, showing favoritism and the lost of the players respect of their coach doesn't leave one optimistic about the rest of the season or for that matter seasons to come. I really feel sorry for the players and their families; college ball should be a fun and exciting part of their lives which has been taken away along with wins.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Listening to the UNCA game tonight, and during the player introductions Daniel Hooker said that Austin Neary was playing tonight, and he was coming off a 1 game suspension. I guess everyone can take that for what it's worth, not spreading rumor or gossip, as Hooker announced it on the radio. What did he say about the other one? On tonight's pregame show (Furman) Daniel Hooker said that Julian Ridings had been suspended for both Tuesday's and Wednesday's game against UNCA. Both (Neary & Ridings) were on the team bus for this weekend series with Furman. Both are listed in the batting order on the live stats from Furman.

That kid who left is not very good and would not play at WCU but good for him to find somewhere he can play. From what i remember the Treadway kid dropped a fly ball with 2 outs in btm of 9th inning at Wake Forest that would have given WCU the 1-0 win. Wake Forest went on to tie game and win in btm of 10th. Again from what i remember some guys on team gave him hard time and then while at App St he and Schultz got into a fight in the dugout during BP and the kid basically quit after that.

32, your recollection of Treadway's time as a Catamount is correct. I'm glad he found somewhere else to play also.

Ive read all these posts. And some of you have no idea what is really going on. The "other one" was punished thank you. He is not a favorited one of the coach so you seem to think. He was ejected from that game after a Citadel player showed rude obscene gestures to our players. That was disrespectful to our field, our players, our parents, and the kids there. Yes i agree what happened was wrong but when he was ejected was the Citadel player? No why not? After the outburst he was also sat out for another game which is also due. So yes they do get punished. Yes he does need to change but if you only knew. And snowman not all games are able to be listened to. I thought the drama left when we left little league. This is ridiculous. Wish I was never told about this. But I wasnt going to sit back and not put my two cents in like everyone else. No you shouldnt call out anyones name good or bad.

Summer, Yeah you're right el Cid lost their moral compass when they came here. Are you dragging this out and talking about the same guy snowman mentioned? 32, Snowman?
As far as one of the guys, Austin, lets not jump on him. Yeah he messed up during the Furman 1st game, but he is open with us about it and knows he needs to change. Yeah throw the freshman card out, but in the whee its not acceptable for the guys and gals we extend a recruiting offer. Hopefully we won't see him mess up again and he takes to following big bro advice from the upperclassman for how to handle himself.

I need to stop posting anyway but if he is talking to me I don't care cause I may not know every detail I know enough to have my opinion. I wish everyone knew who everyone was on here. I can figure out some of them. I actually like what Neary did last couple weeks atleast he shows some fire and like said before the Citadel kids I'm sure are just as quilty. He cussed so what
