It might happen, but I think there's a 50-50 chance Davidson turns the A-10 down for the same reasons they turned down the CAA. I don't think that the A-10 is as attractive as it once was, since the new Big East has taken their picks.

No way Davidson makes the financial investment into athletics it would take to make Davidson competitive in the A-10. They dropped scholarship football for that very reason. $$$$

Nothing coming out of Davidson, wonder what's up? Could his have been just a rumor that CBS ran with? It wouldn't be the fist time they've ran with message board rumors.

I don't think that the A-10 is as attractive as it once was, since the new Big East has taken their picks. Even losing Xavier and Butler the basketball will be ALOT better than the Colonial. Its one thing to turn down another mid major conference for one that is a little better than your own but little harder to turn down the quality of basketball in the A-10.
