Goodbye Davidson, hello UNC Asheville?Does Davidson’s departure from the Southern Conference open the door for UNC Asheville to join the league? And who will replace Davidson in a league now reduced from 12 to eight schools? SoCon commissioner John Iamarino said last week that Asheville had been under consideration for an invite to join the league before the decision was made to make official visits this month to three other schools — East Tennessee, Mercer and Virginia Military. Those visits are expected to become official invitations to join the league by the end of this month. Asheville seems like a good fit to replace Davidson, geographically and academically. www.citizen-times.com/article/20130509/SPORTS/305090032/Jarrett-Goodbye-Davidson-hello-UNCA

If the SoCon picks up UNC-A, while ignoring CCU - it's time for WCU to look for another conference.
No more basketball only schools, period.
