Your opinion is good as everyone else, so what do you think?

Catamount Nation Expectations The Remainder Of This Year And The Next Three Years:
2012 - 1-10
2013 - Currently 1-3 and will end the season at 2-10. Predicting a win over Elon.
2014 - 3-8 or 3-9
2015 - 5-6 or 5-7
2016 - 9-2 or 9-3 and a playoff appearance. Anything less than nine wins then Western needs to hire a Black head coach or discontinue the football program IMHO.

How does WCU hiring a Black Head Coach have anything to do with winning??
WCU hired a coach with a proven resume, he needs to be given his full contract, if we dont have a winning team by then end of that time then look at all options.

I for one think we have too many of the upper class men on the bench, we have a "young" team because that is what Speir is playing. I don't see that some of Speir's players have done any better than the upper class men left over from Wagner.

I agree we should be playing more of the Juniors and Seniors, really have no answer for that other than I imagine he is playing the kids who show they produce in practice as most any college coach does

Coach Speir is a good man and has done some good things as far as public relations goes in Cullowhee.
I feel for him, but I think he just does not have the depth of experience needed to lead a program like he found at WCU.
He came in without any head coaching or even coordinator experience. But WCU does not have the time or finances to allow a head coach to lean "on the job".

Nowhere in my post did I express not honoring Coach Speir's contract. I have spoken to former Catamount players and they feel that hiring a black head coach would help the program.

I know you did not say to fire Speir or not honor his contract.
I just dont understand how a Black head coach would do any better than anyone else. I personally dont care if we have a head coach with polka dots and one eye if he can get the job done.

I think the implication is that a black head coach just might draw talent that would go elsewhere.
