Is this the season for Western Carolina basketball?
With all five starters back, two deep at three perimeter positions, a player of the year candidate and a solid inside presence, the Catamounts have begun practice with the excitement and expectations of winning a Southern Conference division title for the third time in six seasons.
WCU finished 14-19 last season (9-9 in SoCon) and were several possessions away from a much different record, losing six games by five points or less.
