I think the worst thing WCU could do is fire Speir before he is given his full contract to turn things around.

I think the worst thing WCU could do is fire Speir before he is given his full contract to turn things around. I think this article would apply more to ASU than WCU at this point. However, I do agree that three years is enough time to know if a coach will get the job done, and Speir is a year and a half from that mark. No way Speir is fired any time in the near future, based on a win/loss record. The university flat out doesn't have the funds for a buy out, even if they wanted to fire him. I'm certain that Randy will give Speir at least his contract time to turn the program around. After all, this was Randy's first hire, and how it comes out, is a direct reflection on him.

In no way should firing Speir even be mentioned. He will get the job done. The streak ends this weekend vs. Elon. Go Cats!

No doubt, a win this week is coming.
I agree with Jerry with the 3 years, at least a contract should be 3 years or less. Wags stayed past his time and his buyout still haunts me.

The whole talk of "Fire Coach Speir" needs to chill out! It's utterly ridiculous! We are headed in the right direction and good days are ahead! WE WILL WIN ON SATURDAY!
