Ross Mitchell, the LHP who came in with 2 on and no outs in the 2nd inning (score 2-0) and finished the game for the Bulldogs, won two games in Omaha last year. We got run #3 off him with an Aaron Attaway double and a Cody Jones single in the 7th inning. A BIG RUN.
A key play in the game was during the adventurous 9th inning. MSU had 2 runs in and 2 on. Our pitcher threw one 2 feet outside that bounced before it got even with home plate. Adam Martin smothered it and kept it from going to the backstop. A HUGE PLAY.

A great win for the cats with bats. Winning today and taking the series would be outstanding for this talented team.
