On Tuesday the Cats will open the home schedule against Winthrop.

Winthrop opened the 2014 season with a doubleheader sweep over Akron on Sunday Feb 16 in Rock Hill, SC, winning game one 6-5 in extra innings before winning the second game 6-2.

Winthrop's baseball team was picked to finish fourth in the South Division of the 2014 Big South Conference preseason poll of the league's head coaches
