UNCA travels to Cullowhee on Tuesday for the first of the annual two game series with the Bulldogs. Asheville is 9-18 overall, 3-6 in BS conference play, and are coming off a 1-2 weekend at Winthrop. Asheville beat UNCG earlier in the season, but dropped a three game series against Appalachian State. The Bulldogs then beat both ETSU and Furman in one game series. |

Good win for the Cats, Guppy settled down after the first and pitched a heck of a game. The bats did what they had to do to win the game. Now let's go to Greensboro and kick some Spartan butt!

What an awesome pitching performance by Bryan Sammons on Tuesday... after he survived a lot of self-inflicted wounds in the 1st inning and escaping with only one run scored. 7.2 innings is the deepest he's gone in any game.
We needed to get the UNC-A monkey off our back. Ole Tom Smith has had our number in the past couple of years, even when he had inferior talent level.
