It is so easy to criticize what happens on the field and vent when things don't turn out the way we want them to. It is so easy to go deathly silent after a loss like PC and disregard what an awesome job defense did, (they only gave up one touchdown; think of how much worse the score could have been). It is hard to encourage those young men regardless a win or a loss. But that is what they need. Those young men bounced back and won another game. Look at the job Garrett Brown in the game Saturday. Look at the job Troy did with a sore shoulder. Look at the entire defensive line and how often they shut down Wofford on 3rd downs as well as at the goal. That takes heart. Those young men out there are making a difference on and off the field. They are winning games which breeds excitement. People are attending the games which helps the local economy. These guys need and deserve support regardless of the outcome. Go to their Facebook and Twitter pages and just shout them out. When you see them around town, encourage them. Let them know that they have your support. Show up to the games and get loud! They need us!

One big way to encourage the team - show up at games.
Show up in Mercer, and show up in Cullowhee next week. Show up, and give them vocal encouragement - they know when you're there, and hear when we cheer.

These kids came to a known losing program buying what the coaches staff and university sold them on. Rebuilding WCU into a top 25 school year in and year out and we are well on our way. The team is obviously doing there part and shown improvement each and every year in the Speir era.
I agree 100% we owe it to them as students faculty staff alumni and community members to show up stand up and cheer and as said speak encouraging words when we see them on campus and in town.
WCU is a rising program and I for one do not want to see all this work for naught. We need to show potential recruits standing on the sidelines who could be swayed to Western or another SoCon school that WHEE have there back and appreciate the players coaches and staff for all there hard work. A winning team helps the entire University and community from top to bottom. Show up stand up and cheer this team on each and every week!

I understand not being able to make away games but if you show up at home games and you should please don't stay seated. I know standing up and yelling like I do looks foolish and stupid to real adults but honestly it's fun to be a kid again. Support the Cats with all you have and when you leave the game win or lose not only have the players left it on the field but so have you and you can leave proud.

I have no issue standing and getting loud! My only beef is I'm not able to suit up and be on the field playing!
