I agree with James. There is no excuse. In this day of one bid leagues and only the tournament champ gets the nod. Every game, and I mean every game is critical. There is no such thing as throw away games. Why play the games if you don't play to win. We saw that the last two years. Did we not learn anything?

I am a former Catamount Pitcher & have followed the Cats for many years after graduation. Bobby acts like he has given up as a coach @ WCU and wants to move on to another venue.

I don't think you get a call from another team, fielding a product like he has this year. If his goal is to move on, winning is the way you get that call.

Did he not put his name in the hat for the Penn State job recently.

He interviewed at Penn State between the 2013 (first regular season championship) season and the 2014 (second regular season championship) season. Kent State also, I think.
No interviews after the 2014 season that I am aware of.
Those who expected to be on top of a (weaker) SoCon this year were smoking something or taking some hallucinogen. I never believed that crap for a minute.
But the thing that disappoints me most is that this team DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE MADE ANY PROGRESS AS THEY HAVE GONE THROUGH THE SEASON. I fear that they might be "mailing it in" for the rest of the season. I hope I'm wrong.
But if UNC-A can hang 20 on us in Asheville and 13 in Cullowhee, Samford will surely stick 20 or more up out butts 3 times this coming weekend in Birmingham.

Just like I stated earlier, I think he is tired of trying to compete at the Division 1 level with a program that is underfunded & is a stepchild to football & basketball. I believe he would leave in a heartbeat if he was offered a head coach or an assistant coaching position at a school that fully funds its baseball program.

What a joke baseball team. They are already down 5 to 1 @ Samford. You can tell Bobby is ready to stick a fork in this season by looking at his starting pitcher in today's game. I would forfeit the tourney games.

Looks like Samford is well on their way to a 20 run game. It is now 13 to 4. Old Bob must be saving his starting pitchers for the SoCon Tourney.

I'm gonna say Raleigh or maybe Moranda. You say many years after graduation but don't think I buy that. The older guys don't say much if anything. What position did Blue play? That will answer the time frame if say didn't play for them.

I did not play for Raleigh nor Moranda. I played at WCU more than 40 years ago. I have a sneaky feeling that far exceeds the length of time you have been following the Cats.
