Unbelieveable. The Cats have given up 8 runs to Asheville in the first two innings. It's 1-8 going into the third.

The Cats pitching staff is a joke. By far the worst coaching job of Bobby's career @ WCU.

To be beat this badly by UNC Asheville is unspeakable. Right now, it's 20-6 in the bottom of the eighth, and Asheville is still batting. The Cats have 6 errors, and have walked 12. If this team is not embarrassed, I'm embarrassed for them. Only question is, can they beat this team in Cullowhee this bad?

The Cats are keeping this year's record on track. Every time they play a last place team, they find a way to lose to them. UNCA is in last place in the Big South, so......
.....and the Cats have only won 3 road games this season.

People find out very quickly how good you are at coaching when you don't have the caliber of players they have had in the past. Does this mean we have fallen down on recruiting, who knows. Sorry folks. I call them as I see them. Prediction for remainder of the year: maybe win 3 more games but no more. Cats will be two and done in this year's tournament in Charleston. Save your money go to the beach instead.

according to the UNCA athletic web site - Season-High 20 Runs Give Bulldogs Friday Night Win"The UNC Asheville baseball team scored 20 runs for the first time since 2008 on its way to a 20-6 win over mountain rival Western Carolina, Friday evening at Greenwood Field. The last time Asheville (19-26) scored over 20 runs was on March 22, 2008 against Hartford. On that night the Bulldogs scored 33 runs in a 33-8 win. Friday night against the Catamounts (18-23), the Bulldogs finished with 14 hits, including five extra base hits in the 20 run night. Left-hander Lucas Clarke tossed two innings out of the bullpen to notch his fourth win of the season, allowing one hit and one run while striking out two batters. Bulldog starter Joe Zayatz struck out a pair of batters in his 4 2/3 innings of work, allowing five runs (three earned) on six hits. Catamount starter B.J. Nobles was saddled with the loss, falling to 4-3 on the year after allowing eight runs (seven earned) in just 1 1/3 innings of work." if you can stomach reading more - www.uncabulldogs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=210064889&DB_OEM_ID=19200

Anytime you leave a starting pitcher in the game and allow 7 or 8 runs to score, you have a coaching problem. This team is by far the worst team Bobby has put on the field from a pitching standpoint and a defensive standpoint. Preseason expectations have turned into a season of embarrassments.
