Western dropped game one, 14-4. It's going to be a long weekend in Birmingham.

Again ole Bobby left his starting pitcher in the game long enough so he could give up 11 runs before Bob removed him from game. What a great coaching job he has done this year. In fact, it is worthy of having a prayer meeting with the AD.

Samford is already up by 7 to 1 in the early innings. Looks like all the Freshman & Sophomore Pitchers are chocking again. Bobby throw out the white flag to prevent another embarrassment for the team & the University.

The Cats now lead 8 to 7. Hope they can keep it up & prove me wrong. It is only in the 3rd inning with a lot baseball to go.

Roll Cats roll. Ole Bobby seems to have the bats popping today. They are up 13 to 7. Hope the pitching can stay together for the rest of the game. A Grand Slam surely helped the cause.

Got to give the dog credit. I think Bobby tried real hard to win this game. His problem is lack of pitching. However, I think Western will be lots better next year if Bobby can find some good JC pitchers & prevent his position players from leaving the program. His Freshmen & Sophomore pitchers need to get a lot better for next year. They were not ready for prime time this year.
