Madison Armstrong is an all-star in the classroom and on the softball field, which is why Western Carolina University has offered her scholarships to cover nearly her entire college education.
Armstrong, a standout athlete at the Highland School of Technology, has earned a spot with the Division I Catamounts softball team. A student in the medical science pathway at Highland, she intends to go to medical school and specialize in orthopedics after earning her undergraduate degree.
Armstrong racked up one award after another at Highland where she was the catcher and four-year captain of the softball team. She was an all-conference player every year and last year’s District 6 Player of the Year.
