If he is seriously considering FSU or UVa, then Clemson made a bone-head mistake on the release they gave him. Releases from N.L.I. typically include a provision that the athlete cannot go to another school in the same conference and be immediately eligible. Makes it like a transfer situation. Of course, the person could sit out a year or redshirt at any school.
Who wants a player that you recruited to turn around and play for one of your conference opponents the next year? That's crazy.
I doubt that Western is a serious consideration, but we'll see how this shakes out. Our baseball program needs a positive development. Leggett leaving Clemson is a potential bummer for us in terms of future scheduling.

I agree on your point about him coming to Western. He already once chose to leave Jackson County, but if he really wants to play basketball, then we may be the place he picks. On the other hand, is he serious about the majors? His talents would be better showcased at UVa or FSU, but he may be a bigger fish in a small pond in Catamount Country. I'll ask around today and see if there are any signs that he'll be a Catamount.

I saw on a tweet that Cal has decided to go to FSU. I hope it works out for him.
