We could save it for Greenville but the way this has started i may be too pissed by then to go. Missed my first tourney in long time last year. Year before that I got pissed and rented car and drove home all night till got home around 7am

Maybe the good news is that we will do better against the SoCon?

Maybe the good news is that we will do better against the SoCon? That should be the case. Gardner Webb game should be interesting tomorrow. They are 17-1 with only loss being against only good team UNC. They did sweep a decent James Madison club this weekend but other than UNC and JMU they have played garbage schedule. You know it is bad when a national writer (Aaron Fitt) writes that Georgia Tech's best series win was when they swept UMBC. Has it gotten so bad that winning series vs UMBC is considered better than winning a series vs Western Carolina? That is sad and bad

That is sad and bad First, they swept UMBC and beat them by multiple runs each game - UMBC only scoring 4 runs in 3 games. The Cats lost two of the three games by 1 run, and Tech had to come from behind on Friday. We pumped out 10 runs in three games. BTW - they have only played two series - and we gave them a much better match than UMBC. I think he was saying that they played better and had bigger wins against UMBC, not that they are a better quality opponent.

When anyone says, "Its best series win", that means the best team they have won a series against. Not the series that team played the best in. That does not make much sense sorry. Here is the exact quote, If WCU swept the Citadel and won each game by 10 runs and won 2 of 3 vs CofC the best series win would be CofC not Citadel even though they may have played better vs Citadel. It doesnt matter how well you play it matters who you beat.

Well - then - I hope you would agree that we DID play Tech better than UMBC and gave them a better match, even if UMBC is deemed a stronger opponent.
