This year's home and home with Clemson opens in Cullowhee on Wednesday.
The Tigers are 17-6 overall and ranked No. 17 by CB and No. 22 by USA Today

CLEMSON OVERVIEW
Clemson suffered a three-game sweep at No. 4 Miami (Fla.) last weekend. Two of three losses were by one run on walkoff hits. The Tigers are averaging 6.9 runs per game and hitting .288 with a .392 on-base percentage and 22 steals. The pitching staff has a 3.06 ERA, .230 opponents’ batting average and 2.56 strikeout-to-walk ratio and Clemson is fielding .961.

17-11 is a respectable home record against a team like Clemson. I hope we can take this one after five days of rest.

Clemson beat Furman 9-7 tonight in Greenville.
Furman was ahead 4-1 after 3 innings. Furman led 5-4 after 5 innings.
Hope we are ready for tomorrow with some decent pitching.

Clemson beat Furman 9-7 tonight in Greenville. Furman was ahead 4-1 after 3 innings. Furman led 5-4 after 5 innings. Hope we are ready for tomorrow with some decent pitching. Furman and Wofford were the only SoCon teams to lose yesterday. VMI beat Virginia Tech, and was the biggest win of the day. Citadel, Samford, Mercer, ETSU and UNCG all won against other D1 teams. |

Our bullpen is our Achilles heel once again.
Just like a box of Cracker Jacks... when you open it, you don't know what kind of prize(?) you are going to get...
Behind 5-4 going into the 9th inning. Hold them and come back and get some runs for a walk-off win against a good Clemson team.
Instead, we give up 5 runs on TWO HITS. And then we come back to score 4 in the bottom of the 9th but it's too little, too late after we have put ourself down by 6 runs due to 3 walks and one error.

Despite what happened in Kansas, we are NOT a good baseball team at this point in time.
Will we be come tournament time in Greenville? Remains to be seen...
