It's funny.... We have considered pitching our weak spot all season. Yet we hold Mercer to two runs in each of the last two games, after they scored 6, 13, and 9 in the previous three tournament games. And that's playing four games in 36 hours. So proud of these Cats!

So true... and I just found out Sunday that Corey Sikes was on the shelf with arm trouble. Kept missing him coming in so I sent a text to a parent. So many heroes. Taylor Durand gave us a strong start in the Saturday game vs. Mercer that we ended up losing, but it was a confidence booster to realize the tournament monkey was off our back. Sammons came back strong after a disappointing start on Wedenesday. And what can you say about BJ Nobles and his awesome performance? I will have to take partial credit for the championship because I stayed away. (^_^) ROFLOL. First tournament I've not attended some portion of in over 15 years. Never celebrated but one championship. You probably read my posts last week and they expressed my heart. I was sick of doing a swoon on the tournament and made other plans. (If you were angered by my comments, then so be it. I will not apologize for being honest.) Going to see Tyler White and the Astros play the D-Backs this afternoon. Tyler and I will celebrate this great championship together. He never got to do that while he was in Cullowhee. Hats off to Coach Mo for piecing together enough pitching to get it done despite being so thin with arms. And special congratulations to a bunch of great kids who showed real heart and grit. |

Woody, I am only county over from Flour Field and I stayed away so as not to jinx the CATS. lol!
Listening to my buddy Hooker call the games was good enough. Awesome showing by the BAT CATS! Let's beat Clemson!
