A sweep on the road is very significant. You won't see that very many times this year in the SoCon.
ETSU is going to beat some people if they can get some pitching. They can hit but, except for their Friday starter, their pitching was pitiful.
I thought we were in trouble after Friday's game. Sammons did not get a decision, despite his usual above-average performance through 6 innings. We had to go 12 innings and use Anderson and Nobles both. I suspected they might be unavailable for any more innings on Saturday and/or Sunday, but both came back and threw some more.
The fact that we jumped on ETSU for 5 runs in the first inning Saturday was huge. That masked a sub-par pitching performance for Baker. He went only 4 innings but his pitch count was over 100. Ugh! 5 BB's. Only 2 K's. Not good. But when he left, we still had the lead... because of our offense (and ETSU pitiful pitching).
