Saturday game is the first one this season when our pitchers walked more folks than they struck out.
We had a bunch of those last year and it was one of the reasons for our sub-.500 regular season. We need to keep the K/BB ratio strong if we are going to have a good season.

We need to keep the K/BB ratio strong if we are going to have a good season. There is a tremendous drop off from Sammons to the rest of the Pitching Staff. I really liked the looks of the DH yesterday. I was surprised when Moranda replaced him with a pinch hitter when he was 3 for 4 in the game. If the Cats are going to make a run in the SoCon, the #2, #3, and the midweek starting pitchers need to give 7 strong innings in their starts. I hope the #3 starter is up for the task today.

Bobby put in another untested pitcher in a close game & did not pull him quick enough. Pitchers like this player should be put in games that the Cats have well in hand for evaluation. The Cats are now loosing 6 to 4 in a game that Nail had been pitching well with 10 strike outs.
