I would argue that we need leadership more in tune with big time athletics. You and I can agree on this point. FLCat, James and I are not "angry" as you stated in another post, just frustrated with 80 years of overall poor athletic programs. Be assured, I'm not pointing at the athletes we have recruited when I make that statement, the university does a disservice to all our student-athletes by not making the commitment to field (and fund) athletics at the level the college administration has decided our programs should belong to, currently Div I. Funding our program at the bottom of the Southern Conference, and providing inadequate facilities for a member of the SoCon is what frustrates us. Some of us just think the time to sit by, and say "just wait until next year" has long since passed. Things will NEVER change as long as Catamount fans settle for the "small time" athletics mindset. Why do we always get the university leadership that's willing to "settle" for poor athletic outcomes? WCU72, Do you know where to go to find out the number of Baseball Scholarships given by each School in the SoCon. I think 11.7 Baseball Scholarships are allowed by the NCAA.
