Holcomb Hits Grand Slam in 9-1 Win over VMI
Senior left-hander Bryan Sammons struck out 12 batters in eight innings while junior back stop Spencer Holcomb keyed a five-run seventh inning with a grand slam home run as Western Carolina claimed game one of its Southern Conference series over VMI, 9-1, Friday afternoon at Childress Field / Hennon Stadium.
