With the lack of a solid pitching staff, I really didn't expect the Cats to win back to back tournaments.
I did, however, expect them to move past the first round in the winner's bracket. Losing to the 7th seeded team sums up the entire athletic season for the Catamounts, a big disappointment. I realize they still play in the losers bracket tonight, but that's a harder than ever battle without good pitching.

That's what happens when you don't have a true closer. ETSU scored 5 runs in the top of the ninth, pitiful. I too might have expected this later in the tournament, but not the first game when everyone is "supposedly" rested.

Two and done. The Cats on the bus on their way back to Cullowhee. Lots of seniors just played their last collegiate baseball game.
