The Astros have placed Tyler White on their ALDS Roster. He has worked hard and deserves to be on their roster for the playoffs.

He was on the roster for the Red Sox series (Division Playoff). But did not get into any game.
However, the Astros added an additional pitcher to their 25 man roster for the Yankees series (ALCS) and moved Tyler off the 25-man.
He could be activated in the case of an injury during the Yankees series.
If they win the ALCS and move on to the World Series, they can re-adjust their 25 man roster again prior to the World Series.

The Astros finished the season against the Red Sox in Boston, as you said. And then those two teams hooked up in the first round of the playoffs (ALDS)
Tyler played during the last weekend of regular season, but did not get into any of the four games of the ALDS, which Houston won 3-1.

Astros made it to the World Series. Don't know what adjustments they will make to their 25-man roster between the ALCS and the World Series. I would be surprised if they make many.
But I believe Tyler will get a cut of the World Series money as a result of being on the major league roster for the time he has been this year.

One adjustment to the 25 man roster for the Astros... from the Yankees series (ALCS) to the Dodgers (World Series)
Dropped back to 12 pitchers. Dropped Tyler Clippard back to the 40 man roster. He was not used during the Yankees series.
Added a 3rd catcher. Juan Centeno split the summer between AAA Fresno and the Astros. I guess they decided they did not want to have to go with Evan Gattis defensively in case something happens to Brian McCann.

Not sure Tyler has not out-punted his coverage.... (^_-)
I heard a while back that he had a girl friend down in Texas...

I am a Cleveland Indians fan but I am so proud of Tyler White for numerous reasons. Not only is he a Catamount but he attended the same High School I attended (Chase High) in Forest City, but not only did he attend the same high school as me. His grandmother and my mom worked at Cone Mills in Cliffside together for many years in the supply room. I knew his parents and remember when he was born. I have not spoken to him for many years as we have been on our own course but I am very proud of him, if it can not be my Indians, I can't think of no one else better I would want to see win it. (Now, my Indians need to trade for him and the world will be almost perfect in MLB lol). But this is great for Rutherford County too. It is so hard to be on a roster for an MLB team and even harder to win the World Series (as my Indians know) but really Tyler White is really the first well known MLB player that is making good contributions since the days of Forest "Smokey" Burgess who my grandfather went to school with.
