Based on what saw, it could be a long, long season for the Cats. It's not like basketball, but I don't expect any championships either.

I know you are Disappointed and and you might be right, but it is just the first game. So based on 9 innings of baseball, you already know that we are going to have a long season. Granted we have allot of new faces, but to condemn the team to a "long season" at this point in the season is ridiculous.

Actually, DUDE, what is ridiculous is you going on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on, and on about the administration at WCU not financially supporting football. I get damn tired of reading your rants but have I ever criticised you before this? So get a life and get off my back.

I watched the video broadcast. Was surprised to see Sparks start at 3B. Suspect Coach Mo was trying to get as much "stick" in the lineup as he could, but the Defense suffered. Sparks made two E-5's on throws. (I missed the 3rd error on him.) Playing out of position is tough. Have never seen Sparks listed at any position as Catcher.
Bullock rattled the RF wall in the first inning to bring in Kohler from 1B. Caleb Robinson played long-ball.
I expect to see some experimentation with the lineup over the first 2-3 weeks. We've got lots of new faces and will have to find where all the pieces fit best.

No matter what age group is playing - walks and errors will kill you! Got to play clean baseball to win....

Reminder last year game 1: St. John's 14, Cats 3 - WCU commits 4 errors. Game 2: WCU 5 (0 err), NCAA Champs Coastal Carolina 4.

You tell em 75. Pitching, Pitching, Pitching is the name of the game. Big question mark for this team. No experience in the bullpen.
