My wife thinks the world of Tyler. She met him down at Corpus Christi (Double A) in 2015 when we went to a game there and took him out to eat after the game. BUT SHE HATES HIS BEARD! "Why doesn't he trim it up?... shape it up so it looks nice! It looks like some kind of wooly-booger mess." (My dear wife has a way with words...)

Article on MLB.com about who is going to sign Nelson Cruz (as a DH):
"In his post-Winter Meetings rundown of seven clubs most likely to make the next big move, MLB.com's Richard Justice picks the Astros as perhaps the best fit for Cruz, citing their need for a designated hitter (in addition to rotation help).
"As it stands now, Houston would enter next year with Tyler White as arguably its leading internal candidate to DH. While he had an impressive late-2018 showing (.879 OPS across August and September), Cruz's power -- he has averaged over 40 homers with a 145 OPS+ the past five seasons -- would provide an upgrade to a lineup that was still good last year but took a step back after a historic '17."
Obviously, if the Astros sign Cruz, that will indicate that Tyler is NOT in their future plans for DH.

Tough spot for Tyler. You can’t ask too much more of him, but Cruz is an upgrade for basically every team at DH. So hard to fault them if they can get Cruz. Whatever happens, I hope that Houston can help White get a chance (either continuing with the Astros or with another team). He has seemed to be well thought-of by the staff there.

The Cleveland Indians !!!
