IMO, it would be stupid. If we are going to play FBS schools, get as much money from the game as possible. ASU would pay us little and probably beat the crap out of us to boot.

I think it is totally dependent on what we would get paid. In the past seasons where we played more than 1 money game, we have played Group of 5 teams (MTSU, USF, Cincinnati, etc.). In years we play 2 FBS games, if the pay was anywhere close I would just as soon play schools that we might have some chance of being competitive with rather than playing NC State and Alabama (or Tennessee and Texas A&M like we did a couple of seasons back). What is the difference in playing App versus playing a team like Hawaii (or the others listed above)?
So if you don't think specifically Appalachian, but you think 1 P5 and 1 G5 game in those 12-game seasons, it would make some sense. And of course the costs involved in paying App or ECU or Georgia Southern/Georgia State or other relatively close G5 programs would also be lower.

What's in it for us but an embarrassing loss?
If we are going to have a team pay to beat us, which is what a money game is, why would we take money from ASU when the SEC and ACC pays much better?

No, asu cannot pay close to what the ACC, SEC or even AAC can pay. They can hardly pay $100K, if we're going to play FBS schools play the Big Boys, kids get a great experience and we get $300K plus. Only way we should ever play them is a 2 for 1 deal and I'm sure they will not agree to that. That game is past tense, we need to forget them in football.

Not going to Boone. They would be foolish to call us.
