UNCG is going to be out for revenge for the embarrassment our woeful team from last year gave them in the tournament. First time a #9 seed has beaten a #1 seed twice in a tournament.
I fear they will take us behind the woodshed this weekend. Am looking for another 0-3 weekend; hoping for better.

Why play the games if you guys already know we are going to lose? We have played some good baseball this year and some bad baseball this year. I think this team is capable in any one game. Our hitting is better but consistent pitching is still not where it needs to be is my assessment. We are very capable of beating UNCG. You might be right that we will get swept but I am not ready to give up on this team.

Jim - You are rightly concerned about us playing the power teams on the road this year. However - the optimist that I am says we may be in their heads and can capitalize on that. BTW - an optimist joke. An optimist jumps off the Empire State Building. At about the 50th floor he thinks to himself, "so far, so good!"

We won 24 to 4 today showing that we have a far superior baseball team compared to UNCG. We out played UNCG in the first game and they got lucky. This team is young and once they get their feet under them, they are going to be great. Here is to winning the series tomorrow.
