Game 2 is still underway... 2-2 due to Bigbie's HR.
I believe we got a break on the call at 3rd. Don't believe Bigbie touched the runner as he came by. He may have come off the base and been tagged out during that action, however, the Ump was making the call from the beginning of the play.
I could have been a game-changing call. They would have had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.
We gotta start hitting. Wofford has a strong pitching staff; we have a strong one or two pitchers.

Wofford has a strong pitching staff; we have a strong one or two pitchers. 66, did you pay attention to the pitching mechanics of Wofford’s First Pitcher as compared to Purus? Wofford’s First Pitcher had command of his pitches & he had great control of his breaking pitches. He also was bending his back in his delivery & snapping his curve ball off well in front of his delivery. He also moved his pitches in & out and was hitting spots. He also did a good job of changing speeds. For the most part he stayed ahead of hitters in the strike/Ball Count. In other words, I would characterize him as a Pitcher. Purus had big trouble getting his curve ball over and had trouble getting the breaking pitches up in the strike zone. He did not follow through in his delivery thus getting pitches up in the strike zone. He was unable to consistently hit spots & did not change speeds on the hitters. He mostly did not stay ahead in the count & as you know, hitters love the 2 - 0 count or the 3 - 1 count. Therefore, yesterday Purus was a “thrower” & not a Pitcher. However, I’m glad the Cats won & I hope they win the series today. I’m not picking on Purus because he is not the only one on this staff that has mechanic problems throwing the curve ball for strikes or using the curve ball to expand the strike zone. If you do not have command of your breaking pitches or you do not throw a good circle change, you will have trouble at the College Level & at the Pro Level. I sure hope this staff learns how to be pitchers instead of throwers & stop walking so many hitters. There is no baseball defense against pitchers walking hitters.

Jerry, it seems to me that Coach Mo moves his hitting lineup to often & has hitters hitting in the wrong positions in the lineup. The shortstop has not shown me very much with the bat & makes too many errors. If I was running the the show I would start the following lineup based on performance: 1. Daylan Nanny RF 2. Matthew Koehler CF 3. Justin Bigbie 3b 4. Immanuel Wilder LF 5. Will Prater 2b 6. Luke Robinson C 7. Justin Sparks 1b 8. Andrew Bullock DH 9. Colin Bertsch SS
