Hope all who are followers of Christ will have a wonderful and meaningful celebration of HIS VICTORY... over death and the grave.
He is risen, indeed !!

Furman coming to bat in top 9th inning. Chase Walter at 108 pitches. I trust him enough to send him back out. I'm sure Mo does also. He's our best pitcher and he has gone well over 100 pitches before... but it is cold in Cullowhee tonight. He didn't learn any lessons after leaving his starter in for 9 in today's first game. He does it again in game two, he's just damn hardheaded, and determined to do it his way even when it costs him games.

I trust Chase Walter in that situation. The only Catamount pitcher this year that I would trust in that situation.

His command of the splitter is awesome. I just hope he does not hurt his arm like Franklin did recently. Purus threw a good game but Coach left him in the game to long.

I would expect Chase will probably be named National Pitcher of the Week for last night's job. Scattered 6 hits. 17 K's. Only one walk.
He did about the same thing in the 3rd game in Greensboro. Except he came in to start the 3rd innning and pitched the rest of the game. We scored a run in the top of the 9th to take a 2-1 lead. Chase took the mound in the bottom of the 9th with 101 pitch count. Struck out the side on 11 pitches total.

Purus definitely deserved a better fate in Game 1 yesterday. The booted DP ball was the killer. Yes, they opened the inning with a single. But with that error coming next, instead of 2 out and no one on base, they had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no out. The only way to hold a 2 run lead in that situation is strike out a bunch of folks. Purus had already struck out 10 but he was probably running on fumes at that time. I don't agree that Mo left him in too long. After the big error, he got a foul pop-out to 2B. No error? Game over. We win 3-1. Next batter singled and he pulled Purus. Agree.

Was it Jones again?
