Hope we are breaking the mid-season "slump" if you can call it that. I don't mind it if we can win most of the rest of our games, but tune it up at the end of the season.

I'm afraid...and I hope I'm wrong... that the losses in the last two games has quelled our students and casual fans interest in Catamount Basketball. I'm thinking about 3,000 tonight.

I guess I am more upbeat about this basketball team and season than most. We are on track to win 20 plus games and probably have the best record we have had since joining the D1 ranks. We have lost 2 games to arguably 2 of the top teams in the SoCon by a combined 7 points. This is probably the best team we have had since joining the conference in 1976. It seems people are down on this team. It is hard to win a college basketball game at our level, no matter who we play and even harder to win on the road. We played probably our worst offensive game of the year at Furman and still only lost on a last second lucky shot. Furman is not better than us and we will beat them at home. Samford may be better than us but we will probably see them twice more and they will not beat us 3 times in one year. We have a great coach and he will continue to recruit and build. There will be ups and downs but we are much better off than we were 3 years ago with Prosser. Prosser is not even in the same league as Coach Gray but still folks are not excited about this team. I remember seasons where we won less than 10 games. Rome was not built in a day but we are well on our way to even better days. Maybe not this year, but it is coming.
