Sucks to have a mid season slump. Shooting has been off the last 3 games. 3 of 11 from 3 point land gave us 31% outside to their 46% (6 of 13). Hope this is just a slump and we close out strong. Three losses in a row by a total of 10 points. To FLCatamount's comments, we don't suck. We just have to find a way to close out the tight games like early in the season. We had 3,000 at the game tonight according to the stat sheet.

I was at the game. I'm getting too old for OT games on a weeknight! We just can't spot the opponents a double-digit lead and expect to come back and win. Woolbright seemed to be trying too hard in the first half, but really played well in the second half. A decent crowd given the two-game slide, and the students were there and loud. Speaking of which, did anyone else notice the UNC-Greensboro assistant coach yelling at our students from the bench during the game? I think it was Randy Phillips. Totally unprofessional. The rest of the UNC-G staff seemed poised and professional, but this guy was really pi$$sing me off.

This not my board, and it's a free country, but I’ve never been down with the name-calling of 18-22 year olds that happens on here from time to time.
Look, our three post players each have strengths and weaknesses. None of them are mysteries. They all come as advertised.
Lampten is a grad student, and he transferred from a strong program. He’s never been a scorer, and he’s a so-so rebounder. But he protects the rim. He alters and blocks a lot of shots, which is what coach brought him in to do. Grainger is a banger and a good team player who plays decent defense, brings energy, and is a capable rebounder and scorer. He’s not all-world, but he contributes. Williams, the LSU transfer, has obvious potential. He’s a freshman. If his potential was more developed he wouldn’t be in Cullowhee, and I’m glad he’s here.
It’s a shame Claude left, and there’s a pretty good chance he wishes he was still here, where he’d be getting a lot more attention. But even he was only 6-7 and could do only so much defensively against taller guys.
No exaggeration, decades have passed at Western when we haven’t had a true post player at all.
