He was suppose to start Saturday. No drama here Tyrie is very injured. Just FYI Tyrie’s injury is a major reason why the RPO Offense needs to be trashed. The Starting QBs at WCU that have run this offense under Coach Speir have gotten hurt during the season. When you have this offense, the QB is a runner & is exposed to possible injury. The Coaches at WCU act like they do not know how to Coach another offense. The two QBs (Troy & Tyrie) seem to have been injured at some point in the season every year they were the QBs. Smack, do you agree with me? Smack, is the DC trying to run a defensive scheme that he does not have the players to effectively implement? Smack, since Jones has stood on the sideline for 1 1/2 seasons, how would you evaluate his performance Saturday? How is 63 doing & what was his injury.

I'd think Tyrie could play if forced into action, otherwise, he would not be listed. Why take a change on futher injuries to Tyrie, or starting a player that is no 100% physically when we have such a good #2 guy? I totally agree with you.

63 helmet to knee, will start Saturday. Tyrie is special when he runs. I’m a fan of the Spread offense, just wish we would take some of the RPO out of Tyrie’s hands. Tyrie got hurt on a sack vs Furman. It was the Tackles first start ever, replaced GT. We lost 2 DL that played a bunch last year to injuries off field issues. Helms and Studer. That happened in the summer. That’s tough. The D will struggle the rest of the year, no easy fix. No secret to anyone that has watched this team thru fall camp. No idea why our secondary is so bad. Not finding the ball at all. Turnovers are killing the offense. Jones did fine but must be a run threat and look at receiver options over the middle. It seemed when it was 3rd and medium he would settle for a deep shot. Getting a first down should be the focus. He did throw the ball away which was nice to see. He gets a shot to manage the offense and we need W badly.

FWIW, here is what Massey says about the game running the numbers with WCU at home:
| WCU | UTC | Most Likely score
| 28 | 33 | Median score
| 27 | 33 | Mean score
| 28.10 | 33.47 | Win probability
| 36% | 64% |
His model does not take into account injuries - it strictly predicts numbers from a computerized model based on YTD performance of each team based on the teams they have played so far. I don't know about you guys, but I would just about sign-up right now for us only giving up 33 points. I think Chattanooga has a very predictable offense (they try to throw it to Nunnelly, or either Price or Tiano run the ball). So at least it shouldn't take rocket science to try and key on those 3 guys. But executing could be a different story.

You do know that Massey has correctly predicted each of our wins and losses this season? Not necessarily the correct final scores, but each time WCU was projected to lose, WCU lost that game. Seeing only a 5 point difference will give many hope that the Cats can overcome 5 points, but there was also only a 5 or 6 point difference projected in last week's Samford game, and they scored 66 on our defense.

Agree - I was actually surprised at the points predicted. Again - he just plugs numbers in, so this is what the computer spit out.
