Don't look now but the UNC BOG just approved $45 million to expand and upgrade the Boone Goon's FB facilities, and we alas fall further behind. Geez!

75 - totally agree. I am really surprised by our secondary play, as that is the only defensive spot I thought we would be at least solid at. UTC will no doubt try and follow the VMI and Samford plans given the success passing teams have seen. We really need a couple of early stops and a pick or 2 could do wonders. Just like a couple of broken coverages and a few long balls and scores could bury us.

We wanna know how holes happen in the defense? You got coaches tweeting stupid "Censored Word" for a RT less than 90min before kickoff. A number of players are on it all all Saturday morning. This is a pet peeve of mine all the time, I’m not saying you can’t be on outlets but find your priorities. Look at how much successful teams (players and coaches) are on it. Basic, ignorant, choices create ignorant results.

Actually I agree with you, they should be focused at all times at every possible moment. No down time, no bathroom breaks, nothing fun at all. Make this as miserable for the players and coaches as possible.

I can’t tell what you’re saying here but I’m assuming you’re for the excitement of getting some buzz on Twitter instead of preparing the players for a game?

Regarding the game - Tyrie looks gun shy. Not really sure why he is out there if he is still hurt. Hopefully he is actually ok and we can get out of this offensive funk. On D - we have at least tackled a little better. But we can't give their guy all day to throw the ball. If he can go through 2 or 3 reads eventually he will find a RB open for a big gain time and time again (or he will throw a perfect ball for a TD like he did on the long pass). We might as well sell-out and try to get some penetration and pressure.

I'm being sarcastic as it takes 30 seconds at most to tweet. He could have done that while sitting on the toilet or while grabbing a snack. On game day every team has their own schedule of activities they follow to prepare for the game. These players practice and prepare all week for the game. On Saturday it doesn't do them any good to be studying film right before warm ups on game day. Not even the most successful coach is going to run their players like that.

Again, Coach Speir blowing smoke during preseason about the QB position having depth this season.

With any offense at all, this should be a 10-7 game. Our OFFENSE gave them 9 points. They are collapsing our pocket with 4 d-lineman and then covering us with the other 7 guys so we can't throw the ball. We need to find something - this could be a winnable game with any offense (and without our dumb turnovers and penalties).
