If we don't play well, it might be ugly. Losing to PC in a midweek game does not give me confidence. Xavier lost a midweek game too, but they lost to the #16 ranked team nationally.

This may end up being a rebuilding year or the start of several rebuilding years. Coach needs to have a couple years to recruit. Also, it is much harder to recruit and win at Western than it was back in our heyday. Many more D1 programs with more resources and better facilities. We will need to be patient for the next couple of years to see what Coach can do over time.

I agree with you as far as rebuilding but has others on here noticed all of our sports programs seem to be in a rebuilding phase.....What happened over the last say 10 years? I think if the AD we had and some of the coaches were still here and hadn't got run off we might not even have college sports at Western now......

Game #2 - first pitch at 12:10 pm Jerry, I’m starting to see why Coach Mo resigned last year. He knew this year would be a terrible year because he lost all his power hitters with the exception of the starting SS. He also lost the First Baseman, the 2nd Baseman, Left Fielder, Center Fielder, Right Fielder, and Catcher. He also lost all his top pitchers. In other words, Coach Beck was left with a baseball mess. Right now Coach Beck has a weak defensive ball club, a poor hitting team, and a weak pitching staff. This could be a very difficult year for Coach Beck. However, I wish him luck because he is going to need it.
