Western has the worst live stats page of all the teams in the SoCon. It's almost not worth pulling up, it's always several minutes behind the action on the field, and does not have lots of the fields that the CBS live stats page did.

It's almost not worth pulling up, it's always several minutes behind the action on the field, and does not have lots of the fields that the CBS live stats page did. The lag may be due to staffing. It's easy to imagine Hooker and crew having to do too many things at once. But this year's live stats switch to Neu Lion (maybe a cost-saving measure?) is aggravating. Not only is virtually impossible to read on a phone, but it has some glitches beyond that. Crummy. |

It was certainly more important to get a closer in the game in the top of the 9th with a 3-1 lead, than to let Purus get in a full game.
I have no idea what's in Moranda's mind this year.

You are absolutely correct. Bob is making one coaching error after another. He is over coaching & it is costing this team games. Jones should not be playing SS & Corn should have pitched the 9th. This is two games in a row that Bob has not performed. The top of the lineup will have to bail Bob out of his coaching errors to win this game. |

I was one of Moranda's defenders last year with his dumpster fire season, but after the rookie mistakes he's making this year, I don't see any more positive future for Moranda in a Catamount uniform.
Now the Cats are losing 4-3 going into the the bottom of the 9th. If this turns out to be a loss, it's another one that can be laid on the shoulders of the Head Coach.

We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory...
Purus had thrown 113 pitches through 8 innings. Should have been finished. Gave up two base hits in the 9th. Plus a DP ground ball booted at SS. Combination of all that resulted in a nauseating defeat...

This coach does not seem like he wants to win games. Most rookey coaches would do a better job. It's not the players, it's the coaching tactics that are killing us. We have to talent, if used properly. |
