1-5. Probably won’t play, they recruited him to add depth. But he might, and they did recruit him. I’m not sure any QB could’ve done much this spring.

I would bet that many of the kids leaving will have much improved careers at the schools they are going to. In my opinion, recruiting was not the problem with the last coaching regime. I think coaching them up and putting the players in the right spot to be successful was the problem. Not to mention, the entire offensive line could not pass block and hold there blocks long enough to give any QB time to be successful.

I totally agree that a different coaching staff could have taken our existing team and made them more successful. I do get a sense Coach Bell is going to have some transfers added in to the team that will exhibit better attitudes and results.

No matter when they put him. He was wanted by a power 5 school and not Western!! Glover is a good QB but he saw the writing on the wall. They brought the kid in from Tuscolum and VSU and he knows the offense. Everyone knows there is not going to be a competition for the starting QB job at Western. UC Berkeley or CAL as it is known is a better school than any school in NC and probably the South and consistently one of the top 10 academically ranked schools in America and is Power 5. They also probably have an Oline that knows how to protect the QB. Who can blame the kid? Stay at Western and play behind a D2 transfer and never touch the field or go to Berkeley and get your masters and have a chance to compete. I don’t care if the coaches are pulling scholarships from these kids or if they are encouraging them to transfer or if the kids are deciding to leave on their own. These coaches are paid professionals and will be held responsible for wins and losses and ultimately accountable. As a long time alum and supporter, all I expect in time is winning football and championships. Tired of losing and no accountability. GO CATS!!! If Glover does play or start for Cal and is successful there, then hindsight will prove that it was a mistake to let him go. With that said, if Western wins with who we have on the team, I don’t care how well he does at Cal.

Rogan Wells is a better QB. Will Jones is too. Ok. You are entitled to your opinion. I was not saying which QB is better. Obviously Cal thinks that Glover is good enough to be a scholarship player on their PAC 10 team. Unlike you, I am not qualified to judge which QB is better. Thanks for sharing your vast wisdom.

It's kinda funny, you of all people calling someone else out for sharing an opinion, "You are entitled to".......

It's kinda funny, you of all people calling someone else out for sharing an opinion, "You are entitled to"....... But I do have vast knowledge. Granted most of my wisdom is around useless trivia that no one cares about. In my original post, I did not make a judgement of which QB is best and 2002 missed the point. I was just pointing that out in a very nice way. I will now give it a break as you suggest.
