Well, I know I am excited for our new coach to have a QB on the roster who knows his offense and his style. One who is a proven winner! I think we will see a total change in attitudes and play this coming fall.

I wish Mcqueen would have stayed. I think he would have done well in the new look offense

So true
Kids today got no fight
Take easy way out
Kids playing at two and three different schools
What happens in life when your facing tough challenge?

The sad thing is that some of these kids cannot afford college without that athletic scholarship. These kids enter the portal and no one picks them up so they have to go back home and go to work and before they entered the portal they had a scholarship and were going to get a college education.

A lot of kids are being told to look for other schools. Walk ons who had offers from other program but fell in love with Western are and not being allowed back. Some are really good players but were redshirted and don't have any film. I get Coach want his players but with late in spring at least give guys a chance. This is changing lives of some young men and not for the better. I played college basketball, one thing my coach did even if you left the team he made sure you landed on your feet. I know of 10 kid that are still on campus who have had their dream destroyed. Sad but true.

I know of 10 kid that are still on campus who have had their dream destroyed. Sad but true. I don't mean this to sound harsh, but welcome to the real world (admittedly at an early age). How many of us on this board have had changes in our career come about because of a buyout or a new boss? I'm in sales, and it has happened to me let's say - more than once. My middle child's company was bought out 2 years ago and the new owners closed down the existing shop and 300+ folks were left without work. Three months ago, my youngest son left a VERY large food company, and a week later, they eliminated his old division and 200 of his former co-workers were furloughed. It will happen to many of us in this changing workscape - and hopefully these kids will use their smarts and talents to continue to move forward. If they are walk ons - there was no financial benefit and some of them would never have gotten a minute on the field. Things happen in life that are out of our control. One thing we can all agree on is that Coach Bell was brought in to give us a winning football team - period. We would probably all not agree on how to get there, but that is his decision and the results will be on his plate.

You missed the point. for one this isn't a job were they are paid. Parents send their kids to these school because coaches tell them that they will treat their kids as their own. To tell a kid in June you need to find another school, doesn't matter if you new or not. Not right.
