Between ugly football, bad weather and recovering from pneumonia I am all kinds of glad a) I didn't go this weekend and b) we won even if ugly.

... You don’t have to BROWN nose if you are a successful coach. I think maybe Dr. Brown’s husband will explain the big picture to her once they returned to the Chancellor’s residence. So Dr. Brown's husband is going to have to mansplain football to her?

I would feel much better if they fired the AD and made the coach more accountable. If it keeps going this way, we have 2 options 1-move to division II or drop football. This mess is not the players, its coaching.

This mess is not the players, its coaching. How many times are you going to say drop football without reasons why you think that’s a good idea? The point is if we are not going to properly fund a D1 athletic program and do not care about winning, why keep funding athletics or football. We have been in the SoCon since 1976 and we have never won a conference title in football. What makes you think that we are all of a sudden going to start winning? If Western wants to have D1 athletics, we need to sh-t or get off the pot. The problem is systemic and is all about the money that is spent on athletics. Period. We will not win unless we have a major funding increase by the University. I am talking about an allocation of 3 or 4 times what the university is spending now. Otherwise it will be too little too late. That does not even include the millions needed in facilities improvements. We all know that the powers that be will not do that, so why not quit trying to achieve different results by doing the same thing over and over.

We better be glad we did not play Mississippi College instead of North Greenville. Mississippi College beat North Greenville 39-27 on Saturday. That does not bode well for the Cats against Chattanooga. Someone said that we might lose to Chattanooga by 4 touchdowns. I watched the first half of the Chattanooga game against James Madison and Chattanooga held their own in the second half. I think that Jimmy had more depth. I hope we do not get embarrassed.

The coaches have had 2 weeks to prepare for Chatt. If we get embarrassed, the coaches have no one to blame but themselves

This mess is not the players, its coaching. Then we would have to drop to DII for all sports. We can't just drop down football and maintain DI status will all other sports.
